Maxen has launched a new 4.0 inch square TFT Display Screen for smart home LCD Panel, part number MX-040NM30HFS-C10. This 4 inch LCD Display features a 480x480 resolution IPS panel and a projected capacitive (PCAP) touch screen. It is built-in with the ST7701S driver IC and communicates via a 30-pin MIPI DSI interface. The touch panel utilizes a GT911 controller, supporting a 6-pin I²C interface for straightforward hardware integration.
With a standard brightness of 450 cd/m² and full viewing angles, this square display provides stable performance for indoor embedded platforms. Please note that this specific module uses an Air Bonding process and is not intended for heavy industrial outdoor use requiring 1000+ nits high brightness or extreme wide-temperature resilience. Its 1:1 aspect ratio and compact mechanical outline make it highly suitable for optimizing UI layouts in space-constrained projects.

For fully exposed outdoor access control exposed to direct sunlight, a customized solution requiring higher luminance (1000+ nits) and Optical Bonding (OCR/LOCA) is necessary to eliminate internal reflection and ensure readability.
A: Yes. While the standard module outline is 84.0 × 84.0 mm, the PCAP cover glass can be customized. We support extended glass dimensions, custom silk-screen printing (such as black masking or brand logos), and specific edge treatments to match your product's enclosure design for a seamless flush mount.
