OCA Bonding - Optically Clear Adhesive Bonding

OCA bonding uses Optical Clear Adhesive (OCA), a transparent adhesive widely used in the electronics industry for touch panels and LCD displays. OCA bonding provides excellent optical clarity, strong adhesion, and gap-filling properties, making it a popular choice for manufacturing high-quality LCD displays and touch screens.

The main advantage of OCA bonding technology is a thinner bond line. OCR bonding capability is ideal for components with critical thickness requirements, including cover glass, touch screens and frameless LCDs.

Another advantage of OCA bonding is that sheet adhesives do not require curing and are therefore faster than OCR bonding processes. Using sheet adhesives also provides tighter tolerances, more consistent flat bond lines, and higher yields than liquid adhesives. No special dispensing equipment is required.

Unlike OCR bonding, optically clear adhesive results in bonded adhesives that cannot be reworked, requiring a more stringent inspection and testing process to ensure high production yields.
